The R&D Institute of Precise Engineering (NIITM) was founded in 1962 as a leading enterprise for development of specialized technological equipment for microelectronics. In 1993 NIITM became a part of “Elektronica” – one of the business divisions of AFK Sistema, which has transformed into the Holding company JSC “Concern “Scientific Centre” in 1997. With 2005 - JSC “Sitronics”.
Thousands of units of equipment have been produced in accordance with NIITM’s design formed the basis of semiconductor production in Russia and former Soviet republics. Hundreds of units have been delivered to the CIF countries and China.
Currently NIITM provides complete upgrade and maintenance of full sets of equipment installed at the ”Microelectronics” enterprises at other companies in Russia and abroad. Reconstruction and retooling of equipment with modern functional systems allows to increase production effectiveness. An important activity of the institute is research and development of new types of equipment for advanced technological processes in such areas as nanotechnology, micromechanics and extreme electronics.
Institute is an open minded company that is ready to cooperate in various areas starting from upgrade and maintenance of a wide range of domestic equipment up to the development of advanced equipment for new technological processes. We consider the researches and developments in PE CVD processes and utilisation of ECT and ICP discharges and laser technologies applicable to nano- and extreme- electronics to be the most interesting. NIITM is planning assembly, installation and maintenance of foreign equipment for Russian and CIS countries.
